Il y a une semaine, Hervé Philippe, le directeur financier de Vivendi, avait déclaré que la société espérait finaliser la vente de Maroc Telecom dans les semaines à venir. Des prévisions trop optimistes puisque Serkan Okandan, directeur financier d’ Etisalat ,a déclaré, mardi, que l’opération de rachat de 53% du leader marocain de la téléphonie fixe, du mobile et de l’internet n’interviendra pas avant la fin mai.
Cette période sera mise à profit pour obtenir les feux verts des différents régulateurs des pays où Maroc Télécom est implantée. Selon nos informations, les négociations, des formalités en principe, ne sont pas aussi aisées au Gabon (Moov) et en Mauritanie (Mauritel) qu’au Mali et au Burkina Faso.
Vivendi a annoncé début novembre un accord définitif avec le Etisalat sur la vente de ses 53% dans l’opérateur Maroc Telecom pour 4,2 milliards d’euros au total, franchissant une nouvelle étape de sa stratégie de désengagement des télécoms.
