1. Event Overview
The Luxembourg Finance Forum 2026 is an international event dedicated to financial sector regulation and supervision, as well as Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT).
The first edition will bring together regulators, financial institutions, public authorities, investors and financial market professionals from Luxembourg, West Africa and Central Africa.
The Forum aims to promote experience-sharing and best practices between Luxembourg and African supervisory authorities, while creating a platform for dialogue on the financing needs and development of African economies.
2. Main Theme
Financial Sector Supervision & Regulation and the Fight Against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
The Forum will focus on two main areas:
- Financial market regulation and supervision
- Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing
Particular attention will be given to key developments affecting the financial sector, including:
- Tokenisation and blockchain
- Digital transformation of financial services
- Cross-border supervision
- The evolution of investment funds
- ESG requirements
- Financial stability in an evolving geopolitical environment
- Developments in AML/CFT frameworks
3. Objectives
The Luxembourg Finance Forum has three main objectives:
1. Foster dialogue between regulators
Provide a platform for exchange between financial supervisory authorities from Luxembourg, West Africa and Central Africa.
2. Share experience and best practices
Enable different jurisdictions to exchange views and approaches regarding financial regulation, supervision and AML/CFT frameworks.
3. Strengthen financial bridges between Luxembourg and Africa
Facilitate connections between the Luxembourg financial centre and African economic and financial stakeholders, particularly with regard to the financing needs of CFA-zone economies.
4. Programme

Venue: CSSF Headquarters — 09:00–12:00
The first day will focus on financial sector supervision and regulation.
Key topics will include:
- Financial supervision practices
- Experience-sharing between the CSSF, AMF-UMOA and COMUSAF
- Challenges related to tokenisation and blockchain
- Cross-border financial supervision
- Developments in financial markets
📅 10 December 2026 — AML/CFT
Venue: Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa — 09:00–12:00
The second day will focus on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing.
Discussions will address:
- Prevention and control frameworks
- Compliance challenges for financial institutions
- Supervisory mechanisms
- International best practices and experience-sharing
- Case studies relating to the US Bank Secrecy Act and the European AML Directive
