The Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Senegal (APBEF-SN) announces the change of its visual identity, now built around the baobab tree as its emblem and the slogan “The voice of the Senegalese banking sector”.
An iconic figure of Senegalese heritage, the baobab tree evokes both anchoring, solidity, and transmission. It also refers to the spirit of the pénc, a traditional space for gathering, exchange, and consultation. Through this choice, the Association reaffirms its vocation to bring together its members and to promote dialogue and unity.
The slogan “The voice of the Senegalese banking sector” is an extension of this: it reflects its mission to speak, on behalf of all its members, with a collective, representative, and responsible voice to public authorities, regulators, partners, and users of banking services. This evolution is part of the modernization of its communication tools and reflects the Association’s desire to get closer to its stakeholders and make a useful, responsible, and accessible voice heard. It is accompanied by the development of its digital presence through its accounts.
These platforms will allow the dissemination of its news, make its publications and sectoral data more accessible, highlight initiatives, contributions, and the impact of the profession, while developing educational content on the professions, operations, and challenges of the banking sector.
