Coris Bank International Togo officially launched MyCoris and Pi-Coris on Wednesday, March 25th in Lomé. These two solutions are presented as complementary in its digital transformation strategy. With this dual innovation, the bank aims to combine customer experience, transaction immediacy, and integration with the new payment standards in the UEMOA area.
Through MyCoris, the Togolese subsidiary of the Coris group is deploying a new digital banking interface accessible on mobile and the web. According to its promoters, the platform allows customers to access their accounts at any time, make transfers, pay bills, manage their bank cards, and use services independently, without depending on branch hours. For the bank, this is a significant step towards a digital agency model, better suited to the evolving banking practices in Africa.
The second innovation, Pi-Coris, embodies the transactional dimension of this strategy. It is the integration of the interoperable instant payment platform of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), allowing real-time transfers and payments between banks and other financial actors connected in the UEMOA area. “We want to bring the bank closer to our customers by offering them autonomy, simplicity, and time savings,” said Alassane Kaboré, the CEO of CBI Togo, which ranks third among Togolese banks in terms of assets as of December 31, 2024.
For the leaders of Coris Bank Togo, the interest of this launch lies precisely in the complementarity between the two tools. MyCoris serves as the customer experience channel, while Pi-Coris acts as the engine for instant payments. This coordination reflects a deeper evolution of the banking model: moving from a logic centered on physical branches to a continuous service logic, where speed, autonomy, and security become standards.
Beyond the Togolese market, this launch is part of the modernization of financial exchanges in West Africa, in a context where the interconnection of payment systems is becoming a lever for regional economic integration.
