
Nouakchott: Regional Health Invest Forum

As part of its efforts to promote and strengthen trade and investment among the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) is organizing the Regional Health Invest Forum under the patronage of His Excellency Tijani Thiam, Minister of Health of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The event will take place on 13–14 July 2026 at the Palais des Congrès Mokhtar Ould Daddah in Nouakchott.
The Forum will be held under the theme:
“Strengthening Intra-OIC Trade and Investment in the Pharmaceutical Sector: From Strategy to Action.”
Organized by the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), the Regional Health Invest Forum 2026 serves as a high-level international platform dedicated to strengthening cooperation, investment, and industrial partnerships in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors across OIC Member States.

The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), established in Casablanca in 1984, is the subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) responsible for promoting trade and investment among OIC member states.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second-largest international organization after the United Nations, with 57 member states spread across four continents. It was founded following a decision made at the historic summit held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 12 Rajab 1389 Hijri (September 25, 1969), in response to the arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied part of Jerusalem.
