As a leading player in the regional financial market, Harvest Asset Management hosted a delegation led by Bank of America on October 27, 2026, in Douala. The purpose of the visit was to gather insights into the economic and financial outlook of CEMAC as well as developments in its financial market.
During this visit, Harvest Asset Management also facilitated and coordinated several key institutional meetings with major players in the regional financial landscape, including BEAC, allowing the delegation to gain a deep understanding of the economic, monetary, and financial environment of the sub-region.
Alongside the teams from Bank of America, representatives from Ashmore Group, MFS Investment Management, Pictet Asset Management, Wellington Management, Greylock Capital, Mesarete Capital, JP Morgan Asset Management, Principal Global Investors / Finisterre Capital, and Farallon Capital were able to engage with our teams on recent developments in regional financial markets, challenges related to market depth and liquidity, as well as the opportunities presented by a region whose fundamentals continue to strengthen.
Beyond the numbers, this meeting primarily confirmed one observation: Central Africa is attracting the attention of international investors. The stability of the monetary framework, the gradual improvement of macroeconomic balances, and the significant financing needs of the sub-region’s economies have now placed CEMAC on the radar of global players seeking long-term opportunities.
