The Inter-African Institute for Insurance and Business Management (IFAGE) and the College of Insurance Kenya (COI), based in Nairobi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 6, 2026 in Cairo, dedicating the creation of a pan-African network for insurance education.
Bringing together IFAGE for West and Central Africa, particularly the CIMA zone, and COI for East Africa, this partnership is part of a common vision: to promote insurance education rooted in African realities, open to innovation, and resolutely focused on professional excellence.
The collaboration between the two institutions will focus on the development of joint academic programs, student and professional mobility, as well as the strengthening of applied research, expertise sharing, and intellectual leadership in service of the development of the insurance sector in Africa.
Through this agreement, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to enhancing skills, professionalizing the insurance sector, and developing an African human capital capable of accompanying market changes.
“This partnership illustrates the strength of South-South cooperation. By uniting African expertise beyond borders and regions, our continent will be able to train the talents needed by the African insurance industry through its institutions,” said Ms. Rokhaya KANDJI, Administrator – General Manager of IFAGE.
