Jointly organized by the Egyptian Government, the African Export-Import Bank, the African Union Commission, AUDA-NEPAD, and the African Development Bank, the Alamein Africa Forum aims to become the leading African platform for investment mobilization and the implementation of Agenda 2063. The event will take place on the sidelines of the African Union’s biannual coordination meeting and will bring together more than twenty Heads of State and Government, leaders of international financial institutions, investors, business executives, and African public decision-makers.
Thursday, 25 June 2026 – Pre-opening
The proceedings will begin with participant registration and welcome sessions, followed by networking meetings between investors, government representatives, and private sector leaders. This first day will focus on preparing the strategic sessions and connecting project owners with funding institutions and development partners.
Friday, 26 June 2026 – Opening Ceremony and Plenary Sessions
The first official day will feature a high-level opening ceremony and several plenary sessions dedicated to key African development issues: infrastructure financing, regional integration, industrialization, intra-African trade, digital transformation, food security, and energy transition. Discussions will bring together political leaders, heads of financial institutions, and private sector actors around concrete projects aimed at accelerating the continent’s growth.
Saturday, 27 June 2026 – Presidential Breakfast, Roundtables and Business Meetings
The final day will open with a presidential breakfast bringing together Heads of State, investors, and business leaders. It will be followed by sectoral roundtables, deal rooms, B2B meetings, and closing sessions designed to facilitate partnerships and investments. The focus will be on translating political commitments into bankable projects and accelerating investment flows across the continent.

The Alamein Africa Forum is positioned as a new continent-wide “implementation-first” platform, prioritizing project execution over declarations of intent. In a context marked by the search for new development financing sources and the growing role of the African private sector, the forum represents a strategic event to track major trends in investment, trade, and economic integration across the continent.

The Egypt is a key country on the African continent and in the Arab world, playing a strategic role in diplomacy, economics, and regional cooperation. Thanks to its geographical position at the crossroads of Africa, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean, Egypt serves as an important hub for political and economic exchanges.
As part of the organization of the Alamein Africa | GO63 Forum, the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs (Egypt) is central. This ministry is responsible for conducting Egypt’s foreign policy, strengthening international relations, and supporting Egyptian communities abroad.
Through such initiatives, Egypt reaffirms its commitment to African cooperation, economic development, and the strengthening of continental partnerships.
The African Union Commission is the executive and administrative body of the African Union. Headquartered in Addis Ababa, it is responsible for the day-to-day management of the African Union’s activities and for implementing the decisions adopted by its Member States.
The Commission coordinates AU policies and programs, supports Member States in advancing continental priorities, represents the Union internationally, and promotes African integration. It is led by a Chairperson, a Deputy Chairperson, and several Commissioners overseeing key sectors such as peace and security, infrastructure, health, education, trade, agriculture, and sustainable development.
The African Union Development Agency – NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) is the development agency of the African Union. Established in 2018 through the transformation of the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency, it was given an enhanced mandate to coordinate and implement priority regional and continental projects aimed at accelerating the achievement of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
AUDA-NEPAD also provides technical and strategic support to African Union Member States and Regional Economic Communities, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, digital transformation, climate change, governance, and human capital development. In addition, the Agency plays a key role in resource mobilization, partnership development, and monitoring Africa’s development progress.

The overarching objective of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group is to spur sustainable economic development and social progress in its regional member countries (RMCs), thus contributing to poverty reduction.
