Yves Nanan officially took over the position of Secretary General of SUNU Bank Togo on June 15, 2026. This change marks a new milestone for the banker, who is considered a veteran in the Togolese banking sector.
Indeed, the new Secretary General is not a stranger to the industry. He has climbed the ranks at the former Banque Togolaise pour le Commerce et l’Industrie (BTCI) – now IB Bank after its acquisition – where he has successively led marketing and communication, operations and organization, and finance and administration.
His arrival is part of the new structure of SUNU Bank Togo, as outlined in decision No. 001/DG/DRH/2026/SS dated January 13, 2026. This decision reorganizes the bank’s structure and creates several entities, including the General Secretariat, a SME/SMI department, and a transactional banking department.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, Yves Nanan will take on the role of Support Director. In this capacity, he will oversee the General Resources, Heritage and Archiving Department, Operations Department, Information Systems Department, and Legal Department.
As a reminder, SUNU Bank Togo was born out of the acquisition of the former Banque Populaire de l’Epargne et du Crédit (BPEC) by the group founded in 1998 by Pathé Dione.
