A Strategic Meeting Point for Africa’s Gas & LNG Industry
The Africa Gas & LNG Summit 2026 (AfGLNG) will take place from 11 to 13 November 2026 in Maputo, Mozambique.
Over three days, the summit will bring together government representatives, energy executives, investors and international industry experts to examine the next phase of gas and LNG development across Africa.
An Event Held Under High-Level Patronage
The summit will take place under the official patronage of H.E. Daniel Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique, and the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy.
President Chapo is scheduled to deliver the presidential welcome on the opening day, while Minister Estevão Pale will participate in key programme discussions.
Strong Institutional and Strategic Partnerships
AfGLNG 2026 is hosted by the Associação de Conteúdo Local de Moçambique (ACLM).
The summit is also supported by strategic partners including Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), Mozambique’s national hydrocarbons company, and the Instituto Nacional de Petróleo (INP), the country’s oil and gas regulator.
Investment, Development and Local Value Creation
A central objective of AfGLNG 2026 will be to explore how Africa can transform its significant gas resources into sustainable economic opportunities.
Key discussions will focus on future investment, project finance, LNG infrastructure, gas-to-power, industrialisation and the development of Africa’s wider gas and LNG value chain.
A Strong Focus on Mozambique and African Markets
Mozambique will be a major focus of the summit, with several large-scale LNG developments including Mozambique LNG, Rovuma LNG and Coral South FLNG.
The programme will also examine opportunities across North Africa, West Africa and Southern Africa, including Senegal, Mauritania, Nigeria, Congo, Angola and Tanzania.
Local Content at the Heart of the Programme
Local content will represent another major theme throughout the summit.
A dedicated SME and Entrepreneurs session will explore supplier development, access to finance and practical opportunities for African businesses to participate in the industry’s growth.
Bringing Together Ministers, Industry Leaders and Experts
The Africa Energy Ministers’ Forum will bring together nine African energy ministries to discuss energy policy, investment and regional cooperation.
The programme will also include a dedicated session on Final Investment Decisions (FID), as well as an Energy Leaders’ Dialogue under the theme: “The African Gas Opportunity: Turning Resources into Prosperity.”
A Global Platform for Networking and Business
Alongside the executive conference, a dedicated technical track will take place on Day 2, complemented by an international exhibition showcasing the sector.
The opening day will feature an exhibition tour and cocktail reception, while extensive networking opportunities will be available throughout the three-day programme.
