The Moroccan banking group Attijariwafa bank is taking a new step in its digital strategy with the official launch of “Simple.”, presented as the first Moroccan neobank. Designed as a “Super App” banking platform, the platform aims to bring together financial services, payments, lifestyle, and community features in a single mobile interface intended to support the daily needs of Moroccans.
Ten years after the launch of L’bankalik, which marked a breakthrough in the Moroccan banking sector by democratizing 100% mobile account opening, Attijariwafa bank is now seeking to scale up. With “Simple.”, the banking group is no longer just offering a traditional digital banking application, but an integrated platform inspired by international “Super Apps” models, capable of centralizing multiple services in a unique and seamless experience.
Presented in Casablanca, the new neobank combines account management, payments, savings, travel, lifestyle benefits, and community services in a unified mobile environment. The goal is clear: to meet the needs of a generation of consumers accustomed to instantaneity, personalization, and ease of use. The group also relies on a hybrid model combining technological innovation and the power of its national physical network to further expand access to digital financial services.
Through this initiative, Attijariwafa bank confirms its commitment to maintaining a pioneering position in banking transformation in Morocco and Africa. In a context where fintechs, new digital uses, and mobile platforms are redefining the relationship between banks and clients, the launch of “Simple.” illustrates the progressive evolution of the banking model towards an integrated digital ecosystem logic. This move also comes at a time of financial strength for the group. In the first quarter of 2026, Attijariwafa bank recorded a net profit attributable to the group of 2.9 billion dirhams and continues its expansion into several African markets.
