NSIA Bank Benin is turning a new page in its governance. Since October 1, 2026, the institution is led by Edmond Koukou Adjikpè, appointed Managing Director, while Nina-Armelle Vignon Guendehou is reappointed as Deputy Managing Director. A duo on which the bank intends to rely on to accelerate its development while consolidating its governance and risk management mechanisms.
With over 22 years of experience in banking, finance, and development finance, Edmond Koukou Adjikpè comes with a strong focus on financing the economy and structuring complex operations. Before joining NSIA Bank Benin, he held positions such as Chief Public-Private Partnership & Sovereign Loans – Africa, and then Regional Representative for West, Central, and North Africa at Shelter Afrique Development Bank.
He also worked at Ecobank Benin, where he notably led the Public Sector and Local Enterprises Department and served on the Credit Committee. A career that gives him a good understanding of the financing challenges faced by states, businesses, and major projects.
By his side, Nina-Armelle Vignon Guendehou brings over 23 years of experience, with expertise particularly focused on risk management, audit, internal control, and banking governance. Her reappointment ensures continuity in the prudential management of the institution, at a time when NSIA Bank Benin aims to strengthen its position in the Beninese market.
The new governance is based on two complementary profiles: on one hand, a proven experience in business development, financing, and institutional partnerships; on the other hand, a strong mastery of control, compliance, and risk management mechanisms.
The goal is clear: to accelerate the bank’s commercial development while maintaining strong discipline in governance. NSIA Bank Benin intends to strengthen its proximity to its clients and partners, expand its support for businesses, and increase its contribution to the financing of the Beninese economy.
Beyond the change in leadership, the appointment of Edmond Koukou Adjikpè and the reappointment of Nina-Armelle Vignon Guendehou also reflect NSIA’s choice to rely on skills with both local roots and pan-African experience to lead the next phase of development of its Beninese subsidiary.
