Abidjan, Ivory Coast, 5 December 2013: Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) today confirmed that it has exited its investment in MTN Côte d‟Ivoire (MTNCI), the leading mobile network operator in Ivory Coast, through Planor Capital International (PCI). Planor Capital International is a Mauritian investment vehicle and is the second largest shareholder in MTNCI. The investment delivered a cash multiple of 2.6x on exit, returning over $80 million in capital. ECP‟s initial investment was made in 2007. During the holding period, ECP contributed to steering the board and facilitated the introduction of MTNCI to other potential partners.
