Brazzaville: Africa Finance, Banking and Digitalisation Summit (AFBDS- CEMAC)

Under the high patronage of H.E. Mr Denis Sassou-Nguesso, President of the
Republic of the Congo, the first edition of the Africa Finance, Banking and Digitalisation Summit (AFBDS- CEMAC) will be held in Brazzaville on 25-26 January 2024.
The theme of the Summit is: “Digitalisation of the banking and financial sector, a
vector for growth and integration in the CEMAC region“. It is an opportunity to
reaffirm the key role of digitisation of the financial and banking sector in promoting
the transformation of economies and financial systems for greater resilience.
The Central African region offers considerable advantages to both foreign and
African investors. The CEMAC countries enjoy a strategic position within the
continent, and present significant opportunities and advantages that remain under-
exploited:

• High-quality infrastructure
• Considerable agricultural potential.
• An extremely rich mining basin.
• A major financial hub with development potential that will spread throughout the
  region.

The aim is to create synergy between countries and institutions in the CEMAC zone,
share experiences and reflect on the modernisation of banking and financial
infrastructure to achieve greater regional integration.

The Africa Finance, Banking and Digitization Summit ( AFBDS- CEMAC) will be hosting
the first edition of the Trophées, a prestigious gala evening to be held in Brazzaville
in Brazzaville on January 25, 2024, attended by political, banking and financial leaders. The aim of the Trophées is to highlight the reforms, modernization reforms, modernization, consolidation, integration and rapid expansion of the of the banking and finance sector. The Awards will recognize the best bankers and banks in the CEMAC zone for their excellent performance.
