The new hub strengthens Yango Group’s long-term strategy on the continent by supporting local innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital infrastructure development.
Abidjan, Ivory Coast, July 24, 2025 – Yango Group, a technology company based in Dubai and present in over 30 countries, announces the opening of its new African regional office in Abidjan. This hub will coordinate the group’s growing operations across the continent, marking a new chapter in Yango’s long-term commitment to Africa. With nearly 200 employees already on the ground, the company plans to strengthen its local capabilities over the next year.
Launched for the first time in Ivory Coast in 2018, Yango made Africa its starting point. Since then, the company has expanded to 16 African countries, developing a diverse portfolio of digital services. Today, by making Abidjan its continental headquarters, Yango Group affirms its commitment to further anchor its regional presence and accelerate innovation tailored to local realities.
“This new regional office in Abidjan marks a new chapter in our journey across Africa. Our strategy is to build digital ecosystems that empower countries from within — leveraging global technologies, but always rooted in local realities,” says Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group. “Africa is where it all started for us — and today, we are investing in the future by making Abidjan the headquarters of our largest office in Africa, and the center of our strategy for the continent.”
Building Inclusive Digital Ecosystems Across Africa
Yango Group’s strategy is based on creating inclusive, locally adapted digital ecosystems that go beyond individual services. By combining its global technologies with a hyperlocal approach, the company aims to support the digital transformation of the continent.
Across the African continent, Yango already offers a wide range of services ranging from on-demand transportation to meal delivery, navigation, e-commerce, and digital payments — all integrated into a single Super App. These services contribute to generating economic opportunities for drivers, delivery partners, small businesses, and users.
As Yango Group continues its expansion, it plans to replicate this model in new countries, creating platforms that meet local needs while strengthening existing value chains. The company also plans to launch new technological solutions tailored to local businesses, to help them grow and structure themselves through digital means.
Scaling Up the Yango Fellowship Program Pan-Africa
As part of its long-term strategy to support the digital transformation of Africa and beyond, Yango is increasing its investments in local talent — a key lever to foster the sustainable adoption of technologies and drive innovation on the continent. The company is taking a new step by expanding the Yango Fellowship program pan-Africa, with the goal of equipping several hundred thousand young talents with future digital skills across all its African markets. Already active in Ivory Coast, this program will make Abidjan its regional coordination and training center for the continent.
“Our mission goes far beyond just providing technological services,” adds Daniil Shuleyko. “By investing in talent and skills, especially among young people, we are laying the foundation for sustainable innovation and self-sufficient digital ecosystems in Africa. With programs like Yango Fellowship, we aim to empower the next generation of African tech leaders.”
