The non-life insurance company Assurances Maghrebia ended the 2025 financial year on a positive note, driven by sustained growth in its activity and key financial indicators. At the end of the year, the turnover stood at 300.6 million Tunisian dinars (approximately 105 million dollars), compared to 272 million dinars (nearly 95 million dollars) in 2024, representing an annual growth of 10.5%. This performance slightly exceeds budget forecasts, with an achievement rate of 100.9%. According to the company, this positive development is based on the strong performance of all its main business lines.
In detail, the Fire and Miscellaneous Risks, Health, and Automobile segments each recorded growth of over 10% for the year, confirming both the strength of Maghrebia’s portfolio and the relevance of the commercial strategy deployed in 2025.
Meanwhile, ceded premiums reached 85.82 million dinars (approximately 30 million dollars), up 5.5% from the 81.3 million dinars (nearly 28 million dollars) recorded a year earlier. This level corresponds to 92.7% of budget forecasts, reflecting a prudent management of the reinsurance policy.
Commissions paid, on the other hand, showed a more pronounced increase. They amounted to 24 million dinars (approximately 8.4 million dollars), compared to 20.9 million dinars (nearly 7.3 million dollars) in 2024, representing a 14.8% increase. This result exceeds the initial budget by 7.4%, reflecting the intensification of commercial activity and the expansion of the distribution network.
On the technical side, net claims expenses increased by 7.4% to 167.7 million dinars (approximately 58.7 million dollars). This amount represents 105.2% of forecasts, in line with the increase in business volume and compensations.
Finally, net financial income also contributed to the overall performance of the company. It reached 31.4 million dinars (approximately 11 million dollars), compared to 30.2 million dinars (nearly 10.6 million dollars) in 2024, representing a 4.1% increase and an achievement rate of 105% compared to the budget.
Overall, these results confirm the growth trajectory of Assurances Maghrebia in 2025, supported by both the development of its insurance activities and the strong performance of its financial income.
