Dakar, January 7, 2026.The Inter-African Institute for Training in Insurance and Business Management (IFAGE SA) will hold its fourth official graduation ceremony on Friday, January 16, 2026, starting at 4:30 pm, at the King Fahd Palace in Dakar, Senegal.
Under the theme “Contribution of the financial sector to climate resilience and sustainable development”, this ceremony will mark a historic double first: the graduation of the first cohort of the Professional Master’s in Accounting, Control, and Audit, as well as the first cohort of the Professional Certification in Reinsurance in Francophone Africa.
This edition has a special symbolic significance, coinciding with the third anniversary of the passing of a major figure in the African insurance sector, the late Pathé DIONE, founding President of the SUNU Group. In tribute to his memory, the management of IFAGE has decided to name all graduating cohorts between 2023 and 2025 “Pathé DIONE Memorial Cohorts”.
A posthumous tribute will be paid to this builder and visionary who, for over twenty years, embodied and promoted the values of leadership, excellence, and African integration. His actions have had a lasting impact on the lives of millions of Africans through the strengthening of social and economic protection.

The ceremony will honor the laureates of the following programs:

Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Insurance;

Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Actuarial Science;

Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, Control, and Audit;

Professional Certificates in Reinsurance.
