Fly Gabon, the young airline, continues its ambition to shine in the African sky. On July 25, 2025, it officially received an Airbus A320 at Libreville’s Léon Mba International Airport, marking a decisive step in its regional development strategy.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, who hailed a moment of regained sovereignty: “Today, we are resolutely setting out to conquer the sky. By welcoming an Airbus A320, which strengthens the fleet of our national airline Fly Gabon, we reaffirm our regained sovereignty in the aviation sector, and more broadly in transportation.”
With a capacity of 126 seats, the aircraft is intended to serve the main capitals of the sub-region as well as strategic destinations on the continent. The Head of State emphasized the inclusive nature of this plane, “which will not serve an elite, but will fly for the people: for families, students, entrepreneurs. Fly Gabon embodies the wings of our renewal.”
With this acquisition, Fly Gabon’s fleet now consists of seven aircraft: five ATR 72-600, one CRJ 900, and the newly integrated A320. The company plans to further strengthen its capabilities in the coming months, in a logic of operational efficiency and consolidation of its sovereignty in the aviation sector.
According to Fly Gabon’s management, other acquisitions are being considered to support the company’s growth and meet the increasing demand for intra-African mobility.
