La principale all\u00e9e qui y m\u00e8ne \u00a0semble \u00eatre la grande oubli\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9mergence. Les herbes ont pris le dessus, grignotant une bonne partie de ce qui aurait d\u00fb \u00eatre le trottoir. Un troupeau de vaches paisse paisiblement, tout juste derri\u00e8re un pont poussi\u00e9reux enjambant une lagune \u00e9touff\u00e9e par les herbes et diff\u00e9rentes formations stagnantes.<\/p>\n<p>La narine sensible est agress\u00e9e par diverses effluves pas toujours des meilleures. Les b\u00e2timents coloniaux se dressent \u00e0 l\u2019horizon, remarquables par leurs silhouettes et leurs toitures. Aujourd\u2019hui occup\u00e9es par la mairie et diverses administrations, ces maisons t\u00e9moignent de l\u2019importance de Bassam sous l\u2019\u00e8re coloniale.<\/p>\n<p>Pour descendre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la plage, une petite minute entre les \u00e9tals des vendeurs d\u2019objets d\u2019art et nous y voil\u00e0 sur du sable pollu\u00e9 par les d\u00e9chets. \u00c9videmment, il est \u00e0 se demander si monsieur le maire arrive \u00e0 marcher sur ce tas d\u2019immondices. Le comble est atteint quand l\u2019on tombe sur un canal grossier creus\u00e9 \u00e0 m\u00eame la plage et qui sert \u00a0de d\u00e9versoir pour les eaux us\u00e9es \u00e0 un h\u00f4tel de la place.<\/p>\n<p>Au cocktail de mauvaises odeurs qui<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>prend d\u2019assaut le chaland s\u2019ajoute l\u2019indispensable d\u00e9tour qu\u2019il doit faire pour contourner cet obstacle, symbole de la d\u00e9mission de la mairie et de l\u2019administration. L\u2019h\u00f4tel en question appose fi\u00e8rement son certificat de salubrit\u00e9 d\u00e9livr\u00e9e par lesdites autorit\u00e9s.
