According to the quarterly report published on July 28, 2026 by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), the net asset value of the sector increased by 14.7% during the period, reaching 470.9 billion Egyptian pounds (approx. $9.3 billion) at the end of June 2026, compared to 410.69 billion pounds at the end of March. The quarterly increase amounts to around 60.2 billion pounds, or nearly $1.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This dynamic is accompanied by a structural expansion marked by the registration of 15 new vehicles, bringing the total number of regulated investment funds to 224. The volume of outstanding shares rose by 40.2% to total 44.04 billion units, with 74.7% held by individual investors \u2013 a sign of increasing national savings contributing to the financing of the economy.<\/p>\n<p>On the institutional level, the FRA, in consultation with the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA), has adopted a revised classification of vehicles, allowing for a more accurate understanding of the market&#8217;s typology and better measurement of concentrations and exposures.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of performance, the different categories show consistent and sustained average quarterly returns. Sectoral funds lead with 18.82%, followed by thematic funds (18.78%) and index funds (18.35%).
