The corresponding investments are estimated at $2.30 billion, for an announced additional capacity of 2,684.838 megawatts.<\/p>\n<p>These results were presented on the occasion of the first assessment of the 100 days of the new administration of the ARE, led by the chairman of the board, Jean-Marie Beya, the general director, Soraya Aziz-Moto, and the deputy general director, Marco Kuyu. The institution highlights several reforms aimed at modernizing its operations, speeding up the processing of files, and strengthening the governance of the electricity sector.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ARE, 12 tariff files were examined during this period, compared to four for the entire year 2025. The institution also issued 18 favorable opinions for the granting of energy permits and carried out 16 compliance inspections on electrical facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The authority also indicates that it has taken actions to strengthen transparency and governance, including through the certification of its financial statements and the launch of an institutional audit. According to the ARE, these initiatives aim to consolidate the credibility and autonomy of the institution.<\/p>\n<p>The Electricity Regulatory Authority is a public technical institution with legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy.
