Net loans and advances grew by 18% to 54.1 billion shillings (418 million USD).<\/p>\n<p>Net interest income stood at 2.2 billion shillings (17.0 million USD), while non-interest income increased by 54% to 1.39 billion shillings (10.7 million USD). Total operating income increased by 35%, compared to a 12% increase in operating expenses.<\/p>\n<p>The gross non-performing loan ratio decreased to 17.3%, from 32.4% a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Total assets amounted to 109.9 billion shillings (849 million USD), while equity reached 11.1 billion shillings (85.7 million USD). The bank stated that its capital and liquidity ratios remained above regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>SBM Bank Kenya also mentioned that it had modernized its core banking platform during the semester.
