The Congolese chef Thianslly Arlych Madzou Moukassa has reached 25,529 solidarity meals prepared and distributed for free within 24 hours, during an event organized in Brazzaville as part of an attempt to break the Guinness World Records. The event took place from June 28 to June 29, 2026, at the esplanade of the Alphonse-Massamba-D\u00e9bat stadium, with the initial goal of producing 30,000 solidarity meals intended for vulnerable people.<\/p>\n

He thus surpasses the previous reference figure set at 15,000 meals, pending the official validation by the Guinness World Records, the only authority authorized to approve this type of performance. The figure of 25,529 meals was put forward by the chef’s entourage and relayed on several platforms after the counting.<\/p>\n

This project was made possible thanks to the mobilization of Madzou Moukassa’s teams, numerous volunteers, partners, authorities, media, as well as Congolese citizens who came to contribute to this collective effort.<\/p>\n

Beyond the performance aspect, the initiative also highlighted a social dimension, with a free distribution of meals and a call for citizen mobilization around an act of solidarity.<\/p>\n

Who is Chef Madzou Moukassa?<\/p>\n

Thianslly Arlych Madzou Moukassa has already made a name for himself in the African gastronomic scene. He won the first prize at the 2022 African Cuisine Championship in Ouidah, Benin, before being decorated as a Knight in the Congolese Order of Merit by the head of state.<\/p>\n

In 2024, he stood out by winning the Golden Hand Trophy and the Pouch of Gold Medal at the World Cuisine Championship held in Saint Petersburg, Russia.<\/p>\n

As the founder of 2M Service, which has become a professional hospitality training institute, he also develops training activities for young people in Brazzaville. He is also the originator of the concept “From the Earth to the Plate,” which promotes African local products.<\/p>\n
