The laying of the first stone of the Palmera Hotel &#038; Resort, a 5-star complex with 253 rooms, marks a new step in upgrading the national offer, with a structuring investment of 16 billion CFA francs (approximately $26 million), entirely financed by Senegalese capital.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding over the ceremony on behalf of the Prime Minister, Boubacar Camara emphasized the strategic significance of the project: &#8220;This 5-star complex illustrates the ambition to provide Senegal with infrastructures capable of attracting investors and world-class hotel operators.&#8221; A strong signal to international markets, in a context of increased competition between destinations.<\/p>\n<p>Spread over nearly 5 hectares, this project is part of the development of the integrated tourist zone of Pointe Sar\u00e8ne, led by SAPCO-Senegal. Designed as a new generation seaside resort, it aims to diversify the offer and capture high value-added segments, especially high-end tourism and the MICE segment.<\/p>\n<p>For Serigne Mamadou Mboup, this project reflects a broader vision: to make tourism a major lever for growth, jobs, and influence. He emphasizes an integrated approach combining competitiveness, sustainability, and inclusion: &#8220;We are structuring destinations capable of attracting investments while sustainably valuing our territories and integrating local populations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Led by Dall Bi SA, a subsidiary of the Senegalese Customs Mutual, in partnership with the Palm Beach Group, the project illustrates the growing power of the national private sector.
