Initial estimates suggest around 2 trillion cubic feet of gas, or nearly 57 billion cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>The field would also contain approximately 130 million barrels of condensate, a very light oil. According to the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum, this will help increase national production and reduce energy imports. A first well is being prepared for testing, before potential additional drilling and the installation of a production platform at sea.<\/p>\n<p>Egypt is currently facing difficulties in gas supply, exacerbated by disruptions in deliveries from Qatar and Israel due to the conflict in the Middle East.
