During the EU-West Africa Corridors Business Forum, held in Abidjan from March 30 to April 1, 2026, Mr. Alliagui recalled that this project, supported by a state investment of nearly $474 million (300 billion CFA francs), was launched in 2021 and is scheduled to be operational by 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to become a lever for economic and regional transformation, the construction site, built on an area of 730 hectares, is structured around several strategic components, including an industrial zone and large-scale logistics capacities. The Ivorian state is currently developing all the plots, while setting up a fuel depot and spaces specifically dedicated to the establishment of future production units.<\/p>\n<p>The socio-economic impact of this dry port is expected to extend to 40% of the national territory and directly affect 20% of the Ivorian population. As a platform for massifying flows, the complex aims to optimize the transit of goods to the countries of the hinterland while promoting the industrialization of the Northern zone. The project thus integrates modern facilities for freight handling and storage, strengthening the competitiveness of West African transport corridors.<\/p>\n<p>The development of activity zones is accompanied by a strategy to promote private investments within the integrated industrial zone. The presentation made at the forum highlights the state&#8217;s desire to create a favorable ecosystem for European and regional economic operators.
