The objective is to support government efforts to stabilize public finances, strengthen the business environment, and accelerate the transition to a more climate-resilient economy.<\/p>\n
Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane emphasized that this funding will help improve budget management, support private sector development, and enhance the country’s capacity to adapt to droughts and floods that regularly affect agriculture, water resources, and electricity production.<\/p>\n
In addition to macroeconomic support, the program also includes structural reforms in the water sector, including strengthening governance and autonomy of the national regulator responsible for water supply and sanitation.
