The company has just exceeded 1.2 million containers handled per year for the first time. This performance comes at the same time as the construction of a new port platform at the East Pier of the Port of Pointe-Noire.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since the concession began in 2009, we have increased the volume of containers handled sixfold, from 200,000 to more than 1.2 million TEUs. We are now aiming to reach the threshold of 2 million containers handled by 2027 with the commissioning of the new port platform currently under construction,&#8221; explains Anthony Samzun, Managing Director of Congo Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>At the port of Pointe-Noire, Congo Terminal has invested more than \u20ac450 million in infrastructure development, staff training and the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment.
