The government of Ivory Coast honored Barth\u00e9lemy Kouam\u00e9, designated as the 2nd Laureate of the National Excellence Award in the category of Media Development.<\/p>\n

The distinction was presented this Wednesday by the Minister of Communication and government spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly, during an official ceremony held in Abidjan, in the presence of several personalities from the media, culture, and economy sectors.<\/p>\n

This recognition celebrates the journey of a professional committed to promoting a free, ethical, and development-contributing press. Barth\u00e9lemy Kouam\u00e9, an entrepreneur and journalist by training, has dedicated over two decades to structuring and enhancing the Ivorian and African media sector.<\/p>\n

“The government of Ivory Coast has honored me by designating me as the 2nd Laureate of the National Excellence Award in the category of Media Development. The Award was presented to me by the Minister of Communication, Government Spokesperson. Thank you to all,” said the laureate at the end of the ceremony.<\/p>\n

A framework for valuing Ivorian excellence<\/p>\n

Established in 2013, the National Excellence Award aims to distinguish citizens, institutions, and companies each year who have stood out for their remarkable contribution to the economic, social, and cultural development of Ivory Coast. The 2025 edition rewarded 74 laureates out of 87 categories, including 40 individuals and 34 legal entities, for their exemplary performances in various fields.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the First Prize in the “Media Development” category went to Le N\u00e9th\u00e9to Tondo Diarrassouba, known as Ali Diarrassouba, a well-known figure in Ivorian press. In a post on his official page, he reaffirmed his commitment to “serve and inspire” following his distinction at the 2025 National Excellence Award for Media Development.<\/p>\n
