The announcement was made during the 28th UPU Congress in Dubai, attended by the Guinean Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Rose Pola Pricemou.<\/p>\n<p>Just one day before the conclusion of this congress where member states discuss the major strategic orientations of the global postal sector, Guinea gains access, for the first time since joining the UPU in September 1959, to this decision-making body.<\/p>\n<p>According to Conakry, this election is the result of reforms undertaken to modernize Guinean postal services and adapt them to current changes. Efforts focus on digitalization, support for e-commerce, and improving service quality to bring postal services closer to citizens and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>By gaining the trust of UPU members, Guinea&#8217;s initiatives are recognized and praised internationally.
