The announcement was made on Wednesday, July 23 by the National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG).<\/p>\n<p>Located about 150 kilometers off the coast, Beg\u00f3nia represents the country&#8217;s first inter-block subsea development, connecting blocks 17 and 17\/06 at depths ranging from 800 to 1,200 meters. The project connects five subsea wells to the existing infrastructure of the FPSO Pazflor, located in block 17, for a total estimated investment of $850 million.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the presence of two separate contracting groups for the blocks involved, collaboration between the national concessionaire (ANPG) and project partners has overcome technical and legal challenges to ensure the viability and approval of the development.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, &#8220;this type of project is essential to maintain Angolan production by optimizing existing assets and resources.
