The helicopter, operated by the Ugandan People&#8217;s Defense Forces (UPDF), crashed at Aden Adde International Airport, the main airport in Somalia, as it was attempting to land.<\/p>\n<p>A fire broke out immediately, quickly contained by rescue services. The helicopter was headed to Baledogle, the largest military airbase in Somalia, located about 90 kilometers northwest of the capital, Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p>Three of the eight people on board were rescued and taken to the hospital of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) for treatment.
