Abidjan, June 19, 2025 – Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale C\u00f4te d’Ivoire (SGCI) announces the appointment of Wilfried Assi as Director of Communication and Foundation, effective June 16, 2025. This appointment is part of a dynamic to strengthen the bank’s image strategy, social responsibility, and community engagement.<\/p>\n

With over 18 years of international experience, Wilfried Assi brings proven expertise in strategic communication, marketing, ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance), and talent development to SGCI.<\/p>\n

A graduate of ESCA at INP-HB and holder of an Executive Master with triple certification from HEC Paris, Wilfried Assi began his career in 2009 at Unilever, as part of the “Young High Potential Talents” program. He held the position of product manager before being promoted to Regional Marketing & Communication Manager, based between South Africa and Nigeria, overseeing brand strategy, communication campaigns, CSR, and innovations in 19 African countries.<\/p>\n

He subsequently held leadership positions within international groups, including as Regional Marketing & Communication Director at FrieslandCampina, Marketing & Transformation Director at media group TRACE, and ESG & Strategy Director at VLISCO Group, a major player in African textiles.<\/p>\n

Before joining SGCI, Wilfried Assi also worked in the financial sector. He was part of the management committee that led the restructuring and redeployment of the Banque de l’Habitat de C\u00f4te d’Ivoire (BHCI), where he was in charge of Communication and Marketing.<\/p>\n

With this appointment, Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale C\u00f4te d’Ivoire affirms its ambition to strengthen its visibility, consolidate its CSR strategy, and enhance its societal commitments through its foundation. Wilfried Assi’s multidisciplinary background is an asset to support the bank in this new phase of transformation and social impact.<\/p>\n
