Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara and his Guinean counterpart jointly expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral exchanges in key sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Trade between the two countries, estimated at 150 million euros per year according to the World Trade Organization (WTO), has significantly increased by 78% according to Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. However, the two countries aim to take economic cooperation to a higher level, particularly in the energy, mining, transportation, and infrastructure sectors, including road infrastructure that enhances connectivity between the two countries in a spirit of sub-regional economic integration.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the economic aspect, General Mamadi Doumbouya, positioning himself geopolitically as a non-aligned figure, could potentially be the key to rapprochement between ECOWAS and the EAS.
