Led by the Minister of State in charge of the Coordination of&nbsp; Government Action and Development, Mr. Abdoulaye Bio Tchan\u00e9, and the Minister of State&nbsp; in charge of Economy and Finance, Mr. Romuald Wadagni, the Beninese delegation delivered&nbsp; a personal message from President Patrice Talon to his Mauritanian counterpart.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was held in the presence of the Minister in charge of the Office of the President,&nbsp; Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, and the Mauritanian Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr.&nbsp; Sid\u2019Ahmed Ould Bough. Following the audience, the Beninese delegation emphasized the&nbsp; excellence of bilateral relations between Benin and Mauritania, before officially conveying&nbsp; Benin\u2019s decision to support the candidacy of Dr. Sidi Ould Tah.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur brother Sidi Ould Tah has the profile and the skills required to turn the AfDB into the true&nbsp; development tool the continent needs today. For this reason, we offer him our full support and&nbsp; stand ready to rally all our partners behind this candidacy,\u201d the delegation stated.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government of Mauritania warmly welcomes this strong and meaningful expression of&nbsp; confidence from the Republic of Benin and its highest authorities.
