{"id":479779,"date":"2024-08-22T15:17:11","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T15:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kapitalafrik.com\/?p=479779"},"modified":"2024-08-22T15:17:15","modified_gmt":"2024-08-22T15:17:15","slug":"agl-congo-supports-the-inclusion-of-women-in-the-logistics-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.financialafrik.com\/en\/2024\/08\/22\/agl-congo-supports-the-inclusion-of-women-in-the-logistics-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"AGL Congo supports the inclusion of women in the logistics sector\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div>\n<p>On 16 August 2024, Africa Global Logistics Congo signed a partnership agreement with the&nbsp; association Women In Logistics-Africa (WILA) in order to support actions that highlight women&nbsp; in the supply chain in port and maritime environments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AGL Congo is joining forces with WILA Congo, an association committed to promoting women&nbsp; in logistics, in order to encourage, raise awareness, train and guide women towards this sector&nbsp; of activity, which has traditionally been dominated by men.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership will involve raising awareness in schools, as well as sharing experiences&nbsp; through participation in various forums dedicated to the supply chain.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WILA also has plans to organise a forum in the very near future on the integration of women&nbsp; in technological and logistical innovations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>We are delighted to have AGL Congo as a partner, as its commitment to inclusion, diversity&nbsp; and parity is well established. This pioneer in the integration of women in logistics will enable&nbsp; us to involve more women in the maritime and port sectors\u201d<\/em>, said Pr\u00e9mice DEMABIALA,&nbsp; President of WILA Congo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Christophe PUJALTE, Regional Director of AGL Congo\/RDC\/Angola, this partnership&nbsp; confirms AGL Congo&#8217;s commitment to promoting women in the logistics sector. \u201c<em>In the Congo,&nbsp; we have had the first female gantry crane operators in the AGL group, but that&#8217;s not enough&nbsp; to ensure that more women take up jobs that were once reserved for men, and explore sectors&nbsp; where they have little presence.
