Microsoft has announced the appointment of Ghanaian Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh, an international expert in corporate law, as the new head of strategic partnerships for Africa in its new Africa transformation office (ATO). The office will focus on facilitating growth and investment in four key development areas: digital infrastructure, skills development, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups.<\/p>\n

After having been responsible for IBM’s operations in more than 40 African countries, including Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, Ghana and Tunisia, the Ghanaian will now work on strategic partnerships with governments, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, multinationals and international organizations across the African continent.<\/p>\n

She has also served for UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO in the UK where was Head of Consumer Banking Services for GT Bank Ghana and Head of Premium Banking Services for UBA Bank Ghana. Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh sits on the boards of several institutions including the Central Bank of Ghana (BoG).<\/p>\n

In a statement on LinkedIn, Angela Jimoh said, \u201cThe creation of the ATO (Africa Transformation Office) by Microsoft is a reinforcement of its investment to enable digital transformation in Africa.
