In addition, the other French sites concerned are Le Creusot, for bogies and engine integration, Villeurbanne, for passenger information systems, and Toulouse, for electrical engineering.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister of Economy and Finance, the contract provides for the supply by Alstom of 55 trains of 9 Metropolis cars and an 8-year maintenance contract. This order aims to modernize line 1 of the Cairo metro and maintenance work will be carried out at the Cairo depot and managed locally.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, nine other projects were included in the intergovernmental agreement signed by Bruno Le Maire in June in the fields of transport, energy and water treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 1987, Cairo Metro Line 1 is the oldest metro line in Egypt.
