According to the bank&#8217;s management, this growth is mainly driven by market activities despite a timid economic recovery environment.<\/p>\n<p>The general operating expenses of the SIB recorded an increase of 6.34% to 15.662 billion FCFA against 14.728 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>As for the gross operating income, it increased by 12.50%, amounting to 21.827 billion FCFA during the period under review against 19.401 billion FCFA previously.<\/p>\n<p>The SIB saw its cost of risk sharply increase between the end of June 2020 and the end of June 2021 with a level which is respectively 792 million FCFA and 1.197 billion FCFA.<\/p>\n<p>As for the operating result, it is up 23.71% to 23.024 billion FCFA against 18.610 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, the net result goes from 14.960 billion FCFA in 2020 to 18.971 billion FCFA (+ 26.81%). SIB officials attribute this improvement both to the increase in GNP and to the good control of costs.<\/p>\n<p>In the second half of the year, the management of the SIB announces an accentuated commercial dynamic which should make it possible to accelerate the setting up of loans and improve performance in terms of commissions.<\/p>\n<p>It also announces the launch by the bank in February 2021 of the exclusive marketing of \u201cSecur Yako\u201d, a product marking its new positioning as \u201cbancassurer\u201d, designed in partnership with Wafa-Assurance Vie C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, a subsidiary of the group.
