Former vice-president – responsible for compliance at State Street Bank in Paris, Senegalese Mouhamed Ba has been appointed interim auditor general of the African Development Bank (AfDB) group. The appointment took effect on June 1.<\/p>\n

In a statement from the institution dated July 6, AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina hailed the decision. \u201cMr. Mouhamed Ba has extensive experience of Bank processes and systems, as well as a good understanding of the priorities and strategic challenges of our institution. The combination of these strengths will allow him to effectively manage the internal audit function until an Auditor General is appointed as the incumbent, “he said.<\/p>\n

Mouhamed Ba joined the AfDB in 2008, having served for two years as Vice President – Head of Compliance at State Street Bank in Paris, France, then led the design and implementation of the program. bank compliance covering French, European and American regulations. He also spent 10 years at Deloitte, then in Boston-USA.<\/p>\n

Audit, risk and compliance expert, with more than 20 years of experience in his field, Mouhamed BA has indeed held key positions during his career and played various major roles in several companies worldwide. .<\/p>\n

Within the Bad, the new Interim Auditor General of the Group headed in 2017 the Internal Audit Division in charge of institutional matters, finance and IT.
