The country, she points out, would lose 10.885 billion naira ($ 27 million) per day if WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter were all shut down.<\/p>\n<p>Netblock said that aside from the financial implications, the Nigerian government\u2019s directive is fundamentally an affront to Nigerians&#8217; rights to freedom of expression.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must also remember that Twitter has gone beyond a source of communication for many of our young workers in Nigeria.
