A mark of confidence that has earned C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire the benefit of a special fund of one billion USD from the institution in the form of special drawing rights. The announcement was made on May 16, 2021, as a prelude to the summit on the financing of African economies which will be held on Tuesday 18 in Paris (France).<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, Kristalina Georgieva explained the IMF&#8217;s desire to contribute to economic recovery and the creation of jobs and new opportunities, after taking stock of cooperation with the Coast. ivory.<\/p>\n<p>The country&#8217;s economic recovery was also at the heart of discussions between President Ouattara and the Director General of World Bank operations, Axel Van Trotsenburg.
