In 2020, KCT posted a 56.27% increase in handling volumes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The five Konecranes gantries provide KCT with additional handling capacities at the Kribi container terminal. They will optimise the use of the container storage park and improve processing times for trucks unloading and loading containers. The new equipment strengthens KCT\u2019s policy on operational excellence to the benefit of partners, ship owners, road transport firms, and users of the Port of Kribi.<\/p>\n<p>After the delivery of a Gottwald mobile crane on 11 April 2021, Kribi Conteneurs Terminal is pursuing its investment plan with the new yard gantries. The company is committed alongside the Autonomous Port to boosting the attractiveness of the Kribi port for Cameroon, Chad and the Central African Republic.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cDespite the COVID-19 pandemic, KCT is pursuing its investment programme. With the new equipment, we will help to improve productivity and significantly reduce truck waiting times. The objective is to be able to serve our loading and unloading customers in the timeliest manner. Working in synergy with the Port Authority, our aim is to boost the competitiveness of the Port of Kribi,\u201d <\/em>said Eric Lavenu, Managing Director of Kribi Conteneurs Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Kribi Conteneurs Terminal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Composed of a group of Cameroonian shareholders, Bollor\u00e9, CMA CGM and CHEC, the Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) is the concessionary of the container terminal at the Kribi deep-water port. KCT provides the Cameroonian supply chain with modern infrastructure adapted to the new generation of transoceanic ships, including 350 metres of quays able to process vessels with capacities of up to 11,000 TEU. KCT\u2019s infrastructures and facilities comply with the most stringent international standards. A true entryway to Cameroon and hinterland countries such as Chad and the Central African Republic, the new terminal aims to facilitate growth in regional trade and step up the country\u2019s economic growth.
