SouthBridge Investments (SBI) and New African Capital Partners (NACP) are proud to announce the launch of their joint venture: SBNA.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

SBNA will act as a “permanent capital fund” with the mission of attracting investors with a long-term vision for Africa. The joint venture wants to invest in the future of the continent by mobilizing “long capital” and by focusing in particular on FinTech, financial sector integration, microfinance and mesofinance.<\/p>\n

Charles Ki\u00e9, CEO and co-founder of New African Capital Partners, will preside over the destinies of SBNA. During his professional career, he held senior positions at Citibank, Banque Atlantique, Ecobank, AFC (Africa Finance Corporation), before co-founding NACP in October 2018 with Paulo Gomes.<\/p>\n

The financial sector remains of paramount importance for the development of the continent. Long-term capital, modernization and investor engagement are key to transforming one of the world’s most promising banking markets.<\/p>\n

With a substantial rate of return, the financial sector is expected to attract more inflows and generate more opportunities. In this area, SBNA wishes to focus on digitization, inclusive finance and sustainable finance. This optimization and the use of new technologies should open the banking system to millions of people who deserve and need it.<\/p>\n

To achieve these objectives, SBNA brings together experience, genuine African know-how, with solid skills in the fields of finance, banking and new technologies. The joint venture will be able to draw on this unique human capital and this knowledge of the market to develop a truly pan-African structure dedicated to the growth and integration of the continent. SouthBridge Investments (SBI) is the investment arm of the SouthBridge Group. It was incorporated in 2020 and underlines the group’s major commitment to invest directly in the future of Africa. SBI will focus particularly on the management of assets and the management of dedicated funds in the fields of finance, industry, SMEs, with a particular impact on the promotion of female entrepreneurship, sustainable development and projects. green.<\/p>\n

Dr Frannie L\u00e9autier, Senior Partner, heads SouthBridge Investments. She previously held leadership positions in prestigious international organizations such as the World Bank, the African Development Bank and the Trade and Development Bank (TDB).
