According to data released on February 12, 2019 by the Johannesburg International Airport Authority, the first phase of the infrastructure upgrade project will require an estimated total cost of US $ 324 million. The project focuses on the mixed-use development of the platform, and includes the construction of new freight facilities, new offices, and the modernization of the airport facade.<\/p>\n

“The development of the City of the West will serve as a catalyst to create a new multifunctional node where large companies will ultimately migrate in terms of offices and hotels,” said airport manager Bonwe Pityi-Vokwana. quoted by the local press.
