Objective, to provide people with energy quality, efficient and reliable to reduce the energy deficit in the city.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Energy is a major input without which nothing is possible. The implementation of this compact 2 which aims to increase the availability of energy will help to largely overcome the problems related to the continuity of electrical energy, &#8220;said Isidore Gnonlonfoun.<\/p>\n<p>The two sites that are located in the 3rd and 12th districts of Cotonou will be intended for the construction of solar power plants, said the coordinator who recalled that &#8220;the project is part of the requirements of the grant agreement signed between the government of the United States and Benin &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2017, an agreement was signed for the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Account-Benin II (Mca-Benin II) program with Benin&#8217;s Beninese power utility (Sbee). &#8220;The Mca-Benin II program must truly transform Benin&#8217;s energy sector,&#8221; said the Minister of Energy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-bottom-left\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mayor of Cotonou City, Isidore Gnonlonfoun, and the National Coordinator of the Millennium Challenge Account-Benin II, Gabriel D\u00e9gb\u00e9gni, signed an agreement on 22 January 2019 for the construction of some solar power plants in the Beninese capital.
