Congo Business Network<\/strong> is hosting its fourth online event on January 5, 2019 on Cisco
\nWebEx from 18:00 to 19:30 Kinshasa time. The theme of this conference is: The Role of
\nChambers of Commerce in the Development of Congo.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to the organizers, more than 250 people will confirm participation on
\nLinkedIn Events. This event will connect presidents of chambers of commerce in the
\ndiaspora with entrepreneurs based in their country of origin.<\/p>\n

\u00c9mile Luhahi Osumba<\/strong>, president of the Chamber of Commerce between Switzerland
\nand the DRC in Geneva; Cedric Longange Ingongomo<\/strong>, president of the Congolese
\nChamber of Commerce in Great Britain in London; and Fabrice Ntompa Ilunga<\/strong>,
\npresident of the Junior Chamber of Congo-Kinshasa in Quebec in Montreal, will talk
\nabout topics related to the functioning of the chamber of commerce and what investors
\nneed to know in order to better invest in Congo.<\/p>\n

Fabrice Ntompa Ilunga<\/strong> graduated from the School of Applied Politics at the University
\nof Sherbrooke. And he just finished a training in industrial relations at the University of
\nMontreal. Involved in Quebec and community politics, he was a candidate for mayor of
\nMontreal in November 2017 and vice president of the Congolese Community of
\nMontreal.<\/p>\n

C\u00e9dric Longange Ingongomo<\/strong> has almost 20 years of experience in the financial services
\nsector in France and in Great Britain. He has worked for several banks such as Soci\u00e9t\u00e9
\nG\u00e9n\u00e9rale, J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland and BlackRock.
\nA Certified Investment Advisor, he holds an MBA in international business. And he is
\ncurrently pursuing his doctorate in organizational leadership. His chamber\u2019s main
\nobjective is to establish a bridge between Great Britain and the Democratic Republic of
\nCongo in commerce and investments.\u00a0His chamber is also a member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a\u00a0network of more than 2,000 companies in all sectors of the British economy.<\/p>\n

\u00c9mile Luhahi Osumba<\/strong> has more than 15 years of experience in finance and tax advisory
\nwith international institutions such as Bank of New York Mellon, PwC, Schroders and
\nHSBC.<\/p>\n

His organization is a member of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and
\nServices, as well as the Swiss Africa Business Circle, a Geneva-based association that
\npromotes the interests of Swiss companies in Africa.<\/p>\n

Congo is a gigantic country by numbers. With 87 million people according to McKinsey
\n& Company’s statistics, it is the 4th most populous nation in Africa, behind Nigeria
\n(190), Ethiopia (105) and Egypt (97). Spread over 2.34 million square kilometers, Congo
\nis the second largest country on the African continent by size after Algeria. Congo is 80
\ntimes bigger than Belgium.<\/p>\n

In addition, online events have three objectives: connect the diaspora to professionals
\nand entrepreneurs in Congo; share knowledge and expertise in a sector of economic
\nactivity; and create opportunities for networking in time real among participants by
\nvideo through Cisco WebEx.<\/p>\n

This first event of the New Year, organized in collaboration with the three chambers of
\ncommerce and led by Noel K. Tshiani, president of Agere Global, is made possible by
\nLinkedIn Events, a new digital system for organizing professional events.
\nCongo Business Network has received exclusive access to this modern technology
\nalthough its accessibility is so far still limited to a very few entrepreneurs in San
\nFrancisco and New York.<\/p>\n

Congo Business Network is an international network of Congolese professionals and
\nentrepreneurs. Its mission is to connect professionals and entrepreneurs in the diaspora
\nin order to take action and contribute to the economic development of Congo.
\nIts objectives are: mobilize its supporters to regularly promote business opportunities in
