“Insurer, a poorly known job”. This is the title of an essay published this weekend by Magloire Dochamou, former director of insurance companies.<\/p>\n

According to the author, the title is an interpellation of all socioeconomic actors who can find some small recipes to act on the levers necessary for a better penetration of insurance in Africa.<\/p>\n

Indeed, he says, the insurance business and its operation remain largely unknown to the public. “This largely explains the low rate of insurance penetration in Africa in general and in the sub-Saharan zone in particular,” he says.<\/p>\n

Through this book published by the Editions du Pantheon in Paris and available in digital format, Magloire Dochamou, senior insurance executive, offers the reader essential elements to apprehend what he calls “a formidable tool for economic and social development African States “.<\/p>\n

“I have always thought that insurers are not doing enough to carry their message in a language that is accessible to as many people as possible, taking care to self-criticize, which would help reassure people who are in dire need. this wonderful mechanism, “he writes. And to add: “I hope that this first book will whet the appetite of these readers and that they will like to browse it and that finally the decision to make sure, even if it is not spontaneous, will come very quickly for their good and that of their family.<\/p>\n

This 112-page document also calls on all economic agents and draws attention to the role that everyone must play for the development of the insurance industry, which, according to the author, “can constitute a real alternative for the socio-economic development of our States “.<\/p>\n
