The aim is to promote more sustainable systems than traditional electricity supply systems, KYA-SoP® solar panels want to differentiate themselves based on the technological and economic model of mobile phones that have been a resounding success. KYA-SoP are locally assembled and can be economically scaled through semi-industrialization or complete industrialization, which is the focus of this project. They are mainly intended for households, public / private institutions, SMEs / SMIs as well as NGOs from all African countries, particularly those in the WAEMU area.

In the context of this project, the ambition is to move to semi-industrialization of KYASoP by setting up a local assembly line for a production of 1000 units of KYA-SoP (all categories combined) from first year. Through this project, more than 150 direct jobs and dozens of indirect jobs will be created and more than 30,000 households will have access to electricity in less than five (5) years of production. The project will also avoid, over the first five years, the emission of 3,429 tonnes of CO2-Eq, the equivalent of 136,000 trees planted.

The Best Innovative Project in the field of renewable energies was awarded on the sidelines of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
