Vice President Yi Xiang of the Chinese multinational announced Wednesday, October 10 in Beijing, investments of $ 60 million in Angola.<\/p>\n

The head of the Chinese company was speaking at a meeting with the press on the sidelines of the visit of Angolan President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o to the Huawei Technology Research Center, as part of his state visit to China.<\/p>\n

The vice president reiterated “the interest of the technology company to strengthen investments in Angola because being one of the countries where Huawei began to expand its activities abroad.”<\/p>\n

In this country, the Chinese company develops 2G, 3G and 4G technologies and actively participates in the process of technological development, mainly for the improvement of the communication infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Angola being a strategic market for China, the official announced his intention to introduce “the digital world” and to facilitate its access to all Angolan citizens. “We would like to bring the digital world and interconnection to every person, family and organization in Angola,” said Yi Xiang.<\/p>\n

In addition to providing its technology to Angola, the Chinese multinational intends to lead a project that aims to bring together all telecommunications companies to achieve development.<\/p>\n

It is worth remembering that in the world of technology, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., which has more than 172 offices around the world, stands behind the giants Samsung Electronics and Apple Inc.<\/p>\n

In 2017, its profits increased by 28%, thanks to cost reductions. The Shenzhen-based company posted a strong performance in the domestic market in the same year and saw its profits rise to 47.5 billion yuan. Founded in 1987, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. employs more than 200,000 people and plans to set up an office in Angola.<\/p>\n
